How much do you charge for an event?
-No two events are the same, so event pricing is challenging yet flexible. The price for events varies based on the type of event, length of event, and when the event is being held. Get in contact with me today to talk about pricing and options.
What sound equipment do you use?
-For my full system, I use two QSC K12 active loudspeakers that run 1000 Watt Peak, and an 18" QSC KW181 Subwoofer rated at 1000 Watt. The system delivers booming sound over the full range, guaranteed.
What does you lighting setup include?
-The full setup includes eight slimpar LED56 uplights, four scanning gobos, and two optional multi-laser light effects. If you are wanting them solely for the purpose of uplighting, I have additional LED can lights that are color and brightness adjustable to help create the perfect atmosphere for your event.
What happens if you cannot make an event?
-To date, I have never missed an event for any reason. Unless I am suddenly sent to the hospital, I will be personally handling all aspects of your event. If an emergency situation arrises, I have already set up a backup DJ who I know. They will be managing the event-day activities. The signed contract guarantees you service at any event.
How far are you willing to travel?
-Travel has never been an issue thus far. Currently, I am based out of Columbus. I typically travel to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Akron, Wheeling, Toledo, Marietta, and everywhere in between for events. Wherever your event is held, I would be happy to make the journey.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
-I take pride in all of my events and never settle for anything less than the best. All of my clients thus far have been completely satisfied with my services. Please see my reviews page if you are interested in reading what others have to say. I do not specifically offer a "satisfaction guarantee," but if you are unsatisfied for any reason, I will do my best to correct that situation.
Hello everyone! My name is Matt Allen and I currently teach at The Ohio State University. In today's technology-run world, simply pressing play does not constitute a good DJ. Good DJs today have not only the talent to seamlessly transition songs and read the crowd, but the ability to establish a personal, yet professional relationship with the clients. The best DJs are ones who have all the music-related skills, as well as have the character and integrity to run a small business. That is where I stand.
My passion for DJ-ing emerged during my time as an undergraduate, but my love for music began at an early age. When I was 10, I purchased my first MP3 player with 256MB. At the time, this was about as advanced as the digital music world could get. I spent countless hours trying to decide which 40 songs I wanted to store. As the time passed, the technology advanced. With the advent of iTunes, Spotify, and other digital media players, CDs became obsolete, and the digital world took over. Now, I have access to the highest quality music simply at the press of button.
The first official event I held was for a sorority formal on campus. At the time, I had a decent pair of speakers, and the campus knew I had good taste in music, but clearly did not have the equipment to call myself a DJ. The event could not have gone better given what I had. Afterwards, I got more offers from other organizations to play at their events, including a few weddings of close friends. One event (and purchase) lead to another to place me where I am today. I offer nothing but top of the line equipment, professional service, and a friendly face every step of the way.
Weddings are by far my favorite event, with well over 50 heading into the 2016 season. Though the "club" atmosphere is much more forgiving than a wedding, I find that creating a personal relationship with the clients is of utmost importance for all weddings. I take care and interest in every event I perform, but especially for weddings. I know how stressful a wedding can be, so my job as the entertainment provider is to give help you every step of the way, even if it is not music-related.
If there is more information you would like to know about me, please don't hesitate to ask! I am very open and willing to talk with you.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little better, and I hope I can do the same with you!
